5 doesn't look like so much now that they're so small
but I've been thinking lately...
especially while we're sitting in Church,
that someday my home and life
and bench at church will be full of 7 full grown men!
Wow.
I am so so blessed.

We're all so. so. blessed.

Blessings come in so many different packages and ways.
Sometimes the greatest blessings don't at the time seem anything like a blessing at all.
We all have plenty of those kinds too...
the trials and hardships that make us better and stronger.

I'm just thankful I get to have these boys to learn with and grow with in this life and the next...

forever.

I don't take them for granted
I think often of my dear friends who struggle
to build their family when mine has come so easy
(for the most part) and fast.
My heart aches for them.
But I know that Heavenly Father knows what He's doing.

He loves us all perfectly

with all of His heart
and he pours out blessings on all of us
every. single. day.

I hope and pray the tender mercies and blessings
of our loving Heavenly Father
will be apparent to you in the unique ways you need them today.

Play Date

Owen kept asking for weeks if he could have "his girl" Avery Belle over for a "date".
He then shocked us when he proceeded to tell us all of his date plans...

He was going to make her a special picnic,
dress in his nice clothes
and pick her up in the car.

Where does he come up with this stuff?!

He chose the menu,
he set out his clothes on his bed for days
and he set it all up!

I promise this was with no help or prompting from parents or siblings.

The only thing I did to help was to purchase the things he said he needed for "the date"
and Beau helped him drive the car over since he hasn't had a lot of practice yet :)

Avery Belle and Owen have acted like a little married couple and called each other
"my Owen" or "my girl" for as long as they've known each other
which has pretty much been their entire lives.

They crack us up!
Cute kids :)

The boys do love to tell me all the things they're going to do for their future "girls"
I'm proud and a little nervous about how charming these guys are!
They love to wink at the moms at church and are total FLIRTS!
I might be in trouble!
But for now... it's just so stinking cute!

Happy Birthday Owen!

On April 5th Owen turned 4!
He wanted to go to the Zoo for his birthday
and then we had some family over for a little party.
